Palissander 55 is an autobiographical series about my childhood neighborhood. I look back fondly at my childhood and remember a lot of things. I spend my first 10 years in a suburb called “Stadspolders” in the dutch city “Dordrecht”. At first the idea behind this project was to just eternalize some key moments I remember. But the project got more meaning the more illustrations I made. The things you see are a mix of how it really was and how I experienced it as a kid. I hope that people who see this will maybe also recall positive childhood memories and can experience a bit of that with me.
